Well, this is a day to remember. You probably weren't thinking on this very day about what life would be like on your 83rd birthday and how many things you would experience in your lifetime, but who thinks about that on their birth day anyway? However, we do want to think about these things now and tell you how much we love and admire you for who you are.

It would have been fun to know you as a "youngster" although we often get glimpses of your youth in your sense of humor, your impish laughter and your eyes. You probably don't feel 83 in many ways. The older we get the younger each "number age" seems.....

You have given so much to us in your examples of service, missionary work, kindness, integrity and good works. Does this sound like the Young Women's Theme? Probably, but if the shoe fits, wear it, right?!

We always look forward to your fun birthday notes/cards and can't believe with all your kids, grandkids and now great grandchildren, you haven't run out of rhymes.

So here is an attempt to reciprocate a poem for you:

Grandma , it's your 83rd birthday, now how can that be?
It was only almost a century ago that you were just wee!
First you were 1, then came 10, and then 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 81, 82, 83!
We've hidden 83 candles in your birthday email for you to find, yesiree!
When you find them all, then let us know, but we'll probably be asleep.....

Like it? (No? That's okay.) But we LOVE you anyway!

Happy Birthday Grandma Welling!
Love Brett and Sarah (A,J,C,E,L)
